Restaurants

After eating at Gordy’s Hi-Hat in Cloquet, MN which does offer a gluten free bun for your burger, venture next door to the Warming House, a coffee and ice cream shop.  I was very impressed with the detailed list of allergen information so people could find a flavor they could enjoy regardless of their allergy.  Thank you, Warming House!

Fast food can be gluten free.

I know fast food can be a taboo subject but let’s face it, some of us eat fast food.  I came across a great website to help people find things to eat when they need gluten free or food allergies in general.   The website is called, “Passport“.  I found it to be user friendly and it included all of the most common fast food places in the United States.  There is also information by state; highlighted are a couple of gluten/allergy friendly restaurants and hotels.  If you have an iphone they have a downloadable app.

Meal time just got easier with sit down restaurants for customers with allergies.

A viewer suggested showing gluten free restaurants in their area.  Well sit down “chain” restaurants have their own website highlighting restaurants with gluten free menu options.  It is hard to pin point mom and pop local restaurants but restaurant chains have been doing a great job of providing gluten free and allergy free options for their customers.  Visit “Gluten Free; Urban Tastebud” and see for yourself.
